REAL Owner Reviews Track 1/4, and 1/2 mile
Enough of the "fake' skewed publication news.
Owners who have tracked, or driven in a 1/4 or 1/2 mile post up your thoughts................................ ....................Zr1 vs cars you have driven/owned.

The ZR1 is powerful, and consistent. Very clear cut. Not designed for the 1/4, although 10.6 at 129-134mph on varied days (weather and track prep), 10 times over, is very respectable. This is with Cup2 tires, ZTK equipped and fully stock. A few performance add ons, and bailing the aero results in those numbers being even better. Until tuning is available on the ZR1, the C7 Z06 and 6th Gen Camaro SS, A8 cars, are "bargain" platforms to use considering the 1/4 results from very noninvasive mods.
ZR1 Track driving is awesome... PTM modes keep performance safe and manageable, but the power the ZR1 lays down is real. Seems fitting it is almost too much power. Corvette Team can dial the lay down in on future platforms. This ZR1 is planted, overall well engineered, and very fun to drive no matter the venue.

The ZR1 is absolutely phenomenal right out of the box. The fact that I could run low 10s with a set of radials is amazing and cutting nearly a 1.4x in the 60' and consistent mid 1.5s, it is absolutely a straight line car if you know how to run it. With minimal mods, I have the fastest in the world in the 9s and am heading back to the track on Sunday with a couple of new bolt ons that I expect to put me even deeper. My 2014 C7 on motor with E85 and a 427 was running the same time vs. my ZR1 stock. The 300 shot on top of that is a couple tenths ahead and trapped 177 in the half mile, but I will bet this ZR1 will best that car in both before HP Tuners gains access to it!
Deb if you need anything, just LMK!

Dont hold your breath on getting into that ecm lol. Thank the wifi capability and self driving cars for the issue. Piggyback of some sort is only option. Shame nobody is on top of that as it will be the way if not only the ZR1 but the full size trucks. The 19s have similar encryption. This is spelling end of aftermarket on performance mods until a stand alone solution is developed.
ps. Tune time performances A8 Z06 with 2300 runs 9.7s at over 140. That would be the ZR if it could be tuned. All day long. And matt the owner driver is no lightweight. And that's on 93 octane no tricks. Smaller blower I bet the ZR is a 9.60 car tuned on radial ON 93.

TOTALLY AGREE! Had my '16 M7 Z (but same principal) for 20 months (13K miles) & needed 4 new tires. After cords on inside of front old tires showed thru & I got the new ones I figured I better get an alignment. Took the DSC Street/Occasional Track specs to dealer to set it up, especially the rear caster as so many had posted. Before the alignment if I tried to blast off from stop it wanted to go sideways & then PTM Sport 1 would bog it down. If I tried banging 2nd, same thing, going sideways (breaking loose). After alignment it really is like a different car. I can rip from stop, bang 2nd, even NLS'ing, w/o soiling my underwear. It just pulls dead straight! TOO MUCH FUN!

Instructor
My best 1/4 was 11.1 stock. Done a few minor upgrades since - throttle body, CAI, intake tube from Weapon X. Have not had a chance to see what the mods will do.
Just finished my 2 days at Spring Mtn. - the car is a beast on the track! I laid down the best I could do, then rode with the instructor driving and all I can say is WOW! A pro driver can really lay down some intense experiences and fast times!
