Default The Wave, funny little story

So, a guy I work with daily drives a 2000 FRC, and we often comment to one another about the ‘wave’ you usually get from other vette drivers regardless of what year vette they happen to be driving. Well, we both had to work today ( we work at a Chevy dealership), I drove my 04 CE drop top, he drove his daughters 2010 cobalt today as it needed some service work. Well, just as I get home, my phone beeps letting me know I got a text message, I look at my phone, and it’s my co worker, the text read as follows, ‘ hey, you ever wave at another corvette, and then realize that you’re in a cobalt?’ Just thought I’d share this, as I got quite the laugh out of it. And no, the vette driver did not wave back, lol.

I've caught myself almost doing that while driving my mustang.

Funny! I sometimes feel the wave, then realize the kids are behind me... in the van. Uh nope.

I generally wave regardless of which vehicle I'm in. And, no, for the most part, I don't get a return wave if not in the Vette.

Unless I happen to know the Vette driver, I seldom wave when in my DD. Chances of the Vette driver seeing me wave is pretty slim IMO. But, when in my C5, I do wave at all the other Vettes I may come across out on the road.

Driving the Corvette I generally remember to wave. But it takes one or two times in the Wrangler to go " oh yeah, forgot about that".

The wave has not been too friendly to me in my area. When I have my C5Z I would get return waves from all corvettes but now that I have my C6Z I cant seem to get a return from any C7 owners. What gives?

Years ago in my C3 days I told a lady friend about the Corvette wave and showed her first had. She thought it was cool and told her parents about it. Her day finally confronted me because he wave to about 20 Corvettes and no one wave back. He was driving a Ford station wagon. DUH?

So far, I’m running about 90% on the wave factor, I figure the other 10% may be due to not seeing me wave due to light conditions etc., but it does seem most of that 10% is C7 drivers, nothing worse than a snooty vette owner........, rotflmao😜
