Short answer, maybe.

You can bolt on a C6 Z06 set of brakes on to a base model C6.

You can bolt on C7 Z06 brakes on to a C7 Z51 car.

I have a C6 with Z51 package and have come to own a set of C7 Z51 brake calipers. From what I've been able to determine, at minimum I will need a set of C7 Z51 knuckles. The C6 hubs will fit into the C7 knuckle. And using the below thread as a guide the C7 upper and lower control arms don't appear to be mandatory. When I get some time I and going to order up a set of C7 knuckles and dive in.

Read through this thread; https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-brakes-2.html
It is for C7 Z51 brakes, but the same may apply to Z06 as well, you may have to be the test rat for the Z06 but honestly it doesn't look that daunting.

I (and you as well) will also probably need a new set of wheels and new brake rotors will probably be needed as well.

Not sure it's worth all that trouble when there is really nothing wrong with Z06 brakes. Only way I would upgrade would be if I was doing carbon ceramic brakes

Sure, for 99% of the population driving their cars on the street the OEM C6Z calipers work great. But on the track with sticky tires and aggressive pads you will start to find their limits quickly.

Those carbon ceramic brakes sound nice until you have to open the wallet to pay for them. $1300 for 1 (one) rotor, and $400 for a set of pads. A lot of track guys often times switch to iron rotors because of sheer cost.

If you haven't seen this write-up might want to look, pretty exhaustive research says no to adapting C7 brakes to C6. Start with posts 19, 21, 24 and 25:

Jump to post #55. Heirymeister jumps in and posts pictures of the C7 brakes on a C5/C6 front and rear chassis.

We had someone just adapt C6 ZR1 brakes to a C4 ZR1.

I took the Z06 brakes off my car after one track event. I was not impressed. They look good and perform well on the street, but the maintenance if you track the car is very high. Replaced them with Wilwoods and am very happy. I have Brembos on my Mustang and they are much better than the C6 Z06 brakes, in my opinion.

If I had a legitimate need to replace my C6Z brakes with something more competent...it wouldn't be more OEM GM hardware. As Tim stated above, I would be looking at the aftermarket to fulfill my needs...Wilwood, Brembo, etc.
