Default 63 repro distributor tag

Who makes a decent one ? Mine has the metal tang securing the end broken off. It’s zip-tied onto the distributor for now.

Last one I custom ordered was from Paragon, part #8150.

Why don't you thoroughly clean everything, put some clear JB Weld behind it.......and be done.

If it doesn't hold you can always get a repro tag.

Have you checked for a good used original. Your distributor is not a rare one as I recall, so one of the used parts suppliers may have one with the correct part number and date code to match what you have now.

Two possible suppliers (and I am not making a recommendation) is Jim Clemens in Florida, and Chicago Corvette. Both hare offered distributor tags in the past via Ebay.

I'm pretty sure that tag is already a repro put in place during the Lars rebuild....so I'm not all fizzed up to preserve it....

Rich - JB-Weld ? From you ? I now expect a meteor to strike the earth...

5 minutes and you're done.......

But, I made the comment assuming that you would be preserving your ORIGINAL tag.

If you would, post a picture of it when you get it. The date on my tag is meshed in from the hold down clamp being pushed against it.

Same problem here. I’ve several original dist. and removing them to clean and restore, about 1 in 4 won’t break. The one breaks when you reinstall!

OK.... The dang things are flimsy -- especially where they are bent to strap them on the distributor...
