New C5 Convertable owner
Hello all,
I am new C5 owner. I recently retired and figured I owed myself something nice. I have wanted a Vette since I rode in my brother in laws 69 Stingray, keep in mind this was in 1970.
After much research I chose the 5th Gen in part because they were in my price range and I like the body style. I found a 6m vert with 31,000 miles and I even liked the color.
I installed a Borla S-Type exhaust on Monday and so far like the sound/tone over the stock exhaust. Relatively simple install since I cut the stock exhaust making it much easier to install th Borla.
Tom
Pictures taken around Watkins Glen International, I live about a mile
from the circuit also took a few pics on the old Grand Prix road course the race ran thru the center of town

Congratulations. I'm happy for you. As the owner of a C5 convertible I can attest to the fact that they are very nice looking automobiles. Oh, and they run well too!

Congrats on your retirement and on a nice low mileage 6 spd C5 Convertible.
Enjoy the sound of the Borla exhaust as you shift through the gears. Nice mod.

Above all wishing you a excellent retirement. Wishing you many happy miles/smiles with your new baby. Nothing nicer than cruising with the roof down and the tunes rocking in a Corvette!!! I love my vert and the longer I own it the happier I am with it as it becomes an extension of me and everyone associates me with my Corvette. Cheers, Rob

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
Next Friday I hope to get on the race course WGI does a open to the public paced 3 lap run on the circuit, if you let the pace car get far enough ahead a person can open up the vehicle and have some fun. The track was re-surfaced 2 or 3 years ago 3.4 miles of Smoooth pavement.
