Sloppyz Single Turbo Nitrous c6 z06
So after wanting to do something like this for a while I finally found the perfect car for it. Traded my 2012 grandsport for a broken 07 c6 z06. I came out ahead pretty good $ wise and it made sense. I figure I will document everything here. I have a dollar amount in mind that I would like the build to cost given the sloppy name so I am on the fence rather I should document everything I spend here may be interesting.
Parts list
Engine
Gen 4 5.3L sbe aluminum block (gen 3 6.0l iron block as a backup) (need to pickup from friend)
Decked 6.0L heads (bought at machine shop)
Pac springs (bought)
Boost cam (unsure which one so far)
Drivetrain
Mantic twin disk (in car)
Built t56 (in car)
Built rear diff (in car)
Fueling
De cap ls7 injectors
Twin aem e85 340lph fuel pumps (a third?) (bought)
Turbo kit
Custom turbo manifold & crossover (materials purchased)
Bullseye 75mm (bought)
Chinese "tial" 50mm bov (bought)
CX Racing 60mm wastegate (bought)
pro charger intercooler (bought)
Nitrous kit
Zex (in car)
Here is the car.
Here is some fun pictures of what a very expensive built motor looks like when "fixed" heads fail and drop a valve into the motor.
Here is our beautiful turbo that the nice guys at Bullseye set me up with. I have used them in the past and had very good results when testing vs pte and fp turbos.
More to come.

What ever puts the car in the mid 140s trap speed wise is what I want to start with.
Can't wait I know it's going to be a long road. If this is who I think it is I still need that ride on bottle.

Trading a '12 GS for an '07 C6Z w/a blown motor is commitment! In for the details...

Found a little time to work on the car tonight after recovering from a trip to Vegas.
Also found a decent way to work on the car during winter without having the doors open now that the 944 turbo is out of the way. I have maybe a couple more hours of tinkering and then the motor will be ready to pull. Honestly does not seem to bad to pull from the top. I know alot of people seem to swear by doing it from the bottom with a lift but not really a option here sadly.

I would have gone with the 96mm turbine personally. I'm assuming bullseye helped you spec it and they know more than me, but from what I've read and experiences first hand, you will max out the capabilities of that small turbine before you reach the max flow of the compressor. I guess it all depends on how much power you're looking to make. Assume it isn't anything crazy, in which case you will be fine.

Just paid for the 5.3 sb so new rings and it should be ready to go just need to wait on machine shop to get me my heads back. Im excited at the idea of an aluminum gen 4 5.3L should be a beast. I am thinking ill have around a grand into the entire longblock with fresh rings, new valve springs, new turbo cam, buying the sb and heads ect.

Was just looking into my fuel pump situation more. I’m thinking two aem320s will not be enough. Doing some basic math and using graphs of the pressure to flow I’m thinking they will be good for around 850 in my situation. Which would be perfect for boost only but I want headroom for the nitrous. Luckily the car came with a dw300 in the tank so I will probably keep that as a primary and the two aems on Hobbs.
I’m open to opinions on it if anyone has experience with this.
