Default LASH CAP INSTALL/ Kent Moore Oil Pump alignment tool

I have the stage 2 cam with the fuel lobe from BTR for my C7 LT1 and they sent me the LS7 lash cap. They said it should go on easy over the the stock fuel pump cap. Mine is not going on easy. Any suggestions or tricks to install this? Does anyone have the Kent Moore tool they want to sell or rent out for the oil pump alignment tool? Thanks,

Its a very tight fit. I used some emery cloth on the inside of the lash cap lip to open it up a tad. Then I was able to get it on there finally.

Patience is something I can work with I will just walk away & come back to it much later if something starts to get to me.. Plus I am like you the car can set for any amount of time dont have to have it to drive as a daily... Robert

Sometimes the stem that the cap goes on gets rolled edges. We will round the edges with a file and they pop right on.

Kinda agree. Just a hour or two at this point and it really helps having it out. It's almost a wash. Easier to do pistons also

I agree slip a set in when the motor is out and have a really good set up for the money that it cost here. Robert

If you are not going to be putting in NEW bears then the oil pressure should be the same, It is those that give you the pressure in a motor not a cam. Robert

I agree with you Billy seems like about 99 out of a 100 of the c7 holds that # on pressure, Mine is even a little more at first until it gets really warmed up. But also here you can use a heavier oil & the pressure should be a little more for you..

What is the pressure when you are just normal cruising? Maybe post a video of the pressure while you are driving around. We can tell you if its ok..

Now is the time to consider doing pistons now that you see whats involved to get back in there lol. Theres a set of drop in forged pistons in the for sale section pretty cheap, just sayin..
