Stingray Badge Removal/Replacement
For those of you who own a stingray and have removed/replaced the stingray badges from the fenders, what did you replace them with?
Can you share some pictures? Im leaning towards the Z51 badge, but don't know how it will look.
Thanks!

I remove the fish & add Z51 decal on the vents....Some hated but who cares. It's your car & you like it, that's all that matter...

So, what did you end up doing? Pictures? I'm contemplating the same.

Slightly different option - but I put the Z51 badges on the engine because its a performance OPTION, not a Corvette MODEL... Model badges belong on the exterior of the car... Just my .02 cents.

I agree. Z51 badges on the exterior is gauche IMHO, but to each their own. It's your car, do what you want.

Here we go again . . . what is called a "model" and what is called an "option" is completely arbitrary and at the discretion of the manufacturer per their chosen marketing strategy. In 2014, the order site listed two "models," Stingray and Stingray Z51. The window sticker on my 2018 still reflects that on the model name, and they have different model designation codes. The mechanical equipment differences between base and Z51 are greater than between Z51 and GS, which is just a difference of tires, brakes and SMC panels. It would be just as sensible for GM to list Stingray, Stingray Z51, and GS as "option" packages.

Question - how does a GS Window Sticker look? Does it show it has a model at the top or as a Performance Package? Just curious...

And the official production numbers from the museum agrees as well. Plus they list the Convertible separately from the Coupe so technically that creates 4 models.

Foosh - I agree with you that the Z51 is a "MODEL" of Corvette, but I've been slammed by everyone saying that its an option... But, looking at my window sticker (see below), it does NOT show Z51 in the model description at the top, but lists it as a Z51 PERFORMANCE PACKAGE.

There have been changes in the window stickers over the years. My 2018 says Stingray Z51 Convertible in the big bold letters at the top. It's at home, and I'm at work, so I can't post a picture now.

I removed the abominations and gave to my granddaughter. She painted them purple with little white polka-dots, then put big googly-eyes on them. A genuine improvement, but I still left them off. I Don't know what she did with the C O R V E T T E gobble-de-gook off the rear.

On the Chevrolet build your own web site it lists two models for the Corvette, Coupe and Convertible. Next choice is 6 different trims. 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, 1LT with Z51 Performance package, 2LT with Z51 Performance package and 3LT with Z51 Performance package. I know the window sticker on my special order 14 Stingray did not show Z51 up on the Top, but rather listed it as an option on the Monroney sticker.
Here is a link to the build your corvette, showing it as a trim or performance package, not a model.
This shows all chevy Models.
Models You will notice, it lists Corvette, Grand Sport, Z06 and ZR1
Trim
The whole time I owned my 14 Stingray 3LT, Z51, M7 car, I felt Z51 was a performance option, not a different model.
