Default Decent deal? Carbon 65 - convertible?

Hi guys,

I have been "shopping" for a 2016-2017 Z06 for over a month. I found a few out there, but I really wanted to get the "right" color, right "deal" or the right options. To make a long story short. I wanted a 2017 z07 package 3LZ and my goal was to find one with low mileage for 70k.... I found many for around 75 but never really loved the color.

A few days ago someone posted a carbon 65 for sale in the forum and it really grabbed my attention. I found a Convertible carbon 65 - no z07 package for 88K (160 miles) - today I made an offer and they took it.... In all honestly I was not expecting them to take the offer - the MSRP is 111 and the offer was for 82.

So I guess my question is : Is this a decent deal? I am not going to getting the z07 package which I know it adds value - and I am getting. convertible which I was not planning on getting... Maybe I should have done more research, but for those who own a a convertible do you have any feedback? For those who have the carbon 65 without the z07 package is the vehicle still 'worth it" and is this a decent deal or could I have done better?

You could always "do better" right up until the day you're on your death bed.

You think you'll remember paying a little more than YOU thought you should have way back then?

Or will you reminisce about the fun you had driving and enjoying that beautiful convertible?

I think you made great deal for Carbon 65 vert Z06 with only 160 miles on it. I honestly think you found a really motivated seller. I've been looking for the same car but with the M7. It seems to be a "unicorn" because I have not had much luck.

It looks like they only made 15 of them.

Are you looking for z07? That’s my only regret.

Yes only 15. How many are actually stateside of those 15 is unknown too. Z07 equipped or not makes no difference.

I think you made a great deal! Mine had 154 less miles than yours, and for that I paid an additional $10K!!

An old friend said once "If you want to be the first person to fart in the seat, it's really going to cost you"! That's true!

Congratulations for a great deal on a fine care!

Thanks man! Did you get the convertible? How do you like it? How do you like the color? I know people have mixed feelings towards that

I think it's a great deal. As for it not being a Z07, outside of the Carbon Ceramic brakes and the tighter suspension, you can easily add the Stage 3 aero to give it the look of the Z07 package.

Great point! I’m going to do some research and where to find the stage 3 parts

I got the Coupe and yes I love the color. Just entered my car in the Sam Houston Corvette Show and picked up 3 awards. One of the awards was a prominent Corvette shop's Corvette pick of the entire show (about 120-140 Corvettes entered).

I agree some don't like the color, but I've got it all arranged so they 'aint 'payin the note either! lol I love it and apparently plenty of folks at the car show did too!

Take care, enjoy your car!

Nice! I wanted to get a coupe but I only found one with a few thousand miles and 4-5k more. I figured with only 17 z06 convertible carbon 65 this could be a better buy! I hope the top grows on me. If not top down all day.... after all I’m in Cali

It's a beautiful color in the right combo. Z06 and the carbon 65 wheels accents etc are that combo.

I love the carbon 65s.

Look how blue it looks next to arctic white. Yet alone it looks white itself. Amazing color

With no white corvette nearby look how white it looks.

very cool color.

Default Color

I've never noticed mine to look that dark with a bluish hue.
