If you are referring to the numbers around the valve stem they are the date code.
The 1st numbers are for the year, next is the number for the month <valve stem> followed by the day then A Z
So, K-1-3 9<VS> 19 A Z = 1973 Sept 19th

To tell the difference between a 1969 and 1979 rim you need to study the different fonts used for those years as well as the 1969 rim having a little BB sized ball weld on the outer rim which indicates the "low" spot on the rim. However, sometimes when people restore 69 rims the grind off the weld...The 1969 fonts are a little bigger and the one stamp looks like a " 1 " and on a 1979 rim the one stamp looks like " l " .
If you show a pic of the stamp I can tell you the difference.

well i will look closer ,im sure it would be a 69 rim ,cause he told me he used these rims on his corvette to do ice racing in the early 70s. ,and the number 1 looks like the number 1.thanks Bill
