Flex sensor location (pics)
I had my tuner instal a flex fuel sensor, not sure why the hardline is the way it is but I’d like to change it so I can put my coil covers back on. Does anyone have some pictures of theirs to give me an idea of what I could do? Is there suppose to be a certain amount of line after the sensor before it goes into the rail? Could I just take the hard line off all together and put the sensor right on the rail?

Yeah that looks terrible. When I did mine on my h/c grand sport i went from the factory line directly into the flex sensor like you have there and from there directly to the rail. Just find the correct fitting combination that skips that stupid hardline. My tuner seemed happy with it and told me he liked it alot better then how the DSX kit was fitment wise. There was also no noticeable issue with not having any hardline after the rail.

you can put it wherever you want and I believe it can be mounted in either direction as well... it's best to put it in the return line if you have one that way it doesn't become a restriction in the feed

Probably so you could use the factory feed line without kinking it. If you put it right on the rail probably have to replace the feed line.

Agreed. Looks fine to me.. it works, isn't putting stress on the sensor or fuel rail, etc. Doesn't look like a bad way to do it to me

Does that sit on top of the coil cover? The only reason I want to change it is so I can put my cover back on to hid all the ugly wiring and wastegate stuff.
