Car Capsule for 2001 Vert.
A couple questions for the expert panel here:
Before I shell out $500, for a plastic bag, I was wondering if any of you ever used the Car Capsule system for your vette?
If so, is there anything outside of the product description I should know? I have a one car garage on the back of my property, that no matter how "air tight" all my seals are or how many traps I set I still have a mouse or two. I used to keep my 75 back there, and noticed some unwelcome guests had visited my engine bay. I'd like to avoid that happening again. So before I put my baby back there for the winter I need to get some kind of bag to keep the rodents out. The Car Capsule seems to be the product of choice.
Have any of you used something else that works as well?
And lastly, what size would you recommend for a vette ? The dimensions for the vette are listed online at 180x74x48 (15ft x just over 6 ft x 4 ft). I haven't put a tape to my actual car, yet. The CarCapsule comes in various lengths -- 20 ft, 18, ft, 16 ft, etc,... I definitely have room for an 18 footer on down, probably could squeeze 20. Will 16 feet fit it well?
I figure a few of you guys have probably used the product and can recommend size and provide a few tips.
Any direction would be appreciated.

I have only used the Car Jacket for my 69 Chevelle, I have never had any issues with rodents so can't answer that question, but you could always call them & ask. I have a heated garage now so haven't used the jacket in yrs, plus I am always doing some project during the winter months.

You're welcome! Do you still have the Silver '75?
Nice looking Corvette. Would llike to see some pictures. The silver interior is sharp. Is it an L82 or L48? 4 spd or auto?

Peppermint seems to be a good deterrent and smells good too. I've used a diluted extract with good success. I park on carpet squares that I spray as well as the interior floor mats.

I've always wondered about the car capsules. They do seem like they would work well to keep the car dust/rodent free and keep the moisture in check.

I'll order today probably. It was 28 degrees this morning. Just about time to put the old car to bed for the winter. Well.... maybe give her a couple more weeks.
