Default What is this module for? (1968 L-89)

Ok my 1968 L-89 was leaking gas yesterday and I traced it to 1 of these hose clamps. However what do these lines go into? This module is on the inside rear valance panel. What the heck is it? I've owned about 10 C3s and never seen this...
Before you say Flux Capacitor, its way too small for that.

Don't know but that is not a factory item. Looks like some type of fuel solenoid.

Looks like an aftermarket electric fuel pump. It is not stock.

Where do the hoses come from. It looks to be a Solenoid valve to turn something off. Fuel shut off, heater water valve.?

One from bottom of gas tank. Previous owner went to great lengths to keep the car stock.

Those two 45* fittings are "AN Fittings", certainly NOT factory parts....

So it's a fuel shutoff solenoid. But why?

Possibly for loss of oil pressure. Or for anti theft if there is a switch to turn it on/off. Just some ideas.

Thats what i think it is too - shut off valve. Normally see those with electric fuel pumps tied into the system for loss of oil pressure. Trace wires to where they are going.

I'm guessing fuel cut off solenoid. Follow the wire to see if you find a hidden switch somewhere. Not a bad idea really unless the thief has a tow truck!
