AFAIK, you have to drop the entire powertrain (including rear suspension) to get at the TT

Remove transmission (and everything that entails), remove torque tube. I drop the entire rear cradle out with the trans attached, then remove the torque tube. It's a decent amount of work and nothing I would want to do without a lift, but I don't want to do any work on a car without a lift.

2000rpm vibration. While in there want to rebuild torque tube and put HD driveshaft in. If you pull the engine, I take it you can get the driveshaft out without touching the rear end? How do you drop the rear? With the torque tube solidly bolted to the engine and rear, won't you be tilting the engine?
