C8 supposed to look “almost identical” to LaFerrari; from the side.
About 2 years ago I was at one of my family members house for a dinner party. He is an owner of a Chevy dealership in the Midwest and knows what the mid engine looks like. We were talking about all supercars but the main car we kept coming back to was the C8. I was showing him pictures of what I’d think it’ll look like, and cars that could possibly be similar in design. A man in my neighborhood is a Ferrari collector, and has many Ferrari’s including 3 different laferraris. I’ve been over there a few times to check them out; and showed him pictures of the cars. He said that the laferrari is “almost identical to the C8 mid engine!” He said I’m going to end that there; as obviously a dealership owner can’t say too much. Which is expected. So I thought this was cool at the time and now that we’re getting the “bare” spy shots of the car on the Nürburgring, I’m starting to see the slight similarities of the design on the side. More specifically the door and side scoop. Reply with any info of the car or similarities that you’ve found with the mule and other supercars.

^^^ Yeah, it’s not close. Not like the P4/5 and the LaFerrari. Or the C7 and F12B
A recent post by a member said Ferrari designed the laFerrari “on its own” without Pininfarina. Even though Pininfarina designed a lot of Ferrari’s, put in a proposal for the LaFerrari, and had just done the one off P4/5. Look at the P4/5 and tell me that’s not inspiring the LaFerrari!

There are some similarities- the way the side scoop comes into the body, the way the tail tapers down, the roofline. But the rest of the car is very different.
By this logic you could say that the Ford GT and LaFerrari look the same from the side:

It's based on the Enzo but looks 110x better and has more down-force and a better coefficient of drag. it's the Enzo Ferrari should have built.

That would fine with me, now how to get one. My wife says I can't sell the C6 until I get it over 8,000 miles. I'm 73...time is running out; any suggestions?

Drive it on a road trip. I am 71 and on average, we do 10,000+ road trip miles yearly. Next year with the BASH, National Corvette Caravan, picking up over 20202 ME Corvette on the East Coast, we are going to do at least15,000+ miles. Maybe even 20,000?
Get your trip planned this week, start it next week, get your mileage to over 8,000 in the next thirty days, and then place your deposit on your 2020 ME Corvette before the next thirty days are over.

Glad to hear there is a similarity to the ferrari on sodeview.
The faux sidescoop seen on the spy ahots is nonsense.

The LaFerrari looks smokin hot, it's hard to say what the C8 looks like because of the camo. However from what we can tell it *appears* that the C8 has a taller profile and shorter hood & deck than the LaFerrari.
