Default Windshield wiper override **** & switch

I’ve a nov 1968 build 1969 l46 coupe, almost 50 years old! Under the dash is a mess and in trying to fix I’ve a question. Are the switch and attached period correct? Searching the forum shows a square switch, not round. And the **** I ordered is quite different. Thanks!

Can't see the switch, but the knurled **** installed is not stock. The **** you ordered looks correct.

I can check one switch I have at home in the morning. The **** you purchased, while physically looking to be the correct size, technically
should be all black, no silver insert in the ****. I do not believe anyone sells an all black **** though.

You might have to build up the end of the switch with some epoxy and file it to the hexagon shape for your new ****.

check a couple of vendor sites, searching different years, to determine what you have (and need)
