2021 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified

Default Looky what's going on the top of my engine (photos) >

I have always told myself that I will not be modifying my 2011 GS that I purchased new back in 2011.

Well, I finally broke down and installed a set of Pfadt headers and a dyno tune when the car was 3 years old ... I then said "that's it for the mods"

Well, silly me ... about a month ago I went and ordered a Magnuson 'Heartbeat' supercharger and a Kenne Bell 'Boost-A-Pump' for the extra fueling while in boost.

My son in law who is an 'ASE Master Tech' and myself are installing the SC in my garage ... I did pay a local company here to install and pin a new 'Powerbond' harmonic balancer, but again, we are doing the wrenching on the SC ourselves.

The job is not done yet, but here are a few photos of what we have so far (you'll notice that the fuel rail isn't on it yet either) >

What do you use for the air cleaner/air filter? looks like yours does not have one installed.

I installed a one size smaller (93mm) supercharger drive pulley, so it should make about 7 PSI boost and somewhere close to 525 - 530 RWHP

Again, the only other mod to the car is a set of Pfadt headers with cats ... The car has an A6 trans, and made 405 RWHP on a Dynojet with just the headers.

There is lots of stuff still not installed on the car .... The SC comes with it's own air filter housing and filter element.

Here is the Kenne Bell "Boost A Pump" and Caspers Electronics fuel pump wire harness that I will be using ... It goes in the left rear wheel area and behind the plastic wheel well panel:

Did you manage to get the 2 bolts in behind the manifold?

Not yet .... We will try again this weekend.

I may be wrong, but I don't think 7 PSI of boost is enough to open up the rear area of the cover when those 2 bolts are not installed ... Again, maybe I'm wrong

What were they thinking when they designed it like that !

Well thats life.If it was easy they would probably have girls doing it.As a matter of fact I have had my girlfriend reach things on the cars over the years that I couldn't get my large hands to reach in confined spaces

There is no shame in the GS community.
There might be some slower than others though.

You will LOVE the Maggie. My GS has the pre-Heartbeat series, headers, exhaust, tune. She’s putting 548 to the wheels. She will make more, but I’m out of fuel. With that KB pump, you can probably tune in more. I can tell you, 550whp is badass.

Great at work and enjoy !

I would be extremely happy with 548 to the wheels

What do you think it will make? ..... 2011 GS / A6, . Headers with Cats, . KB Boost A Pump, . 93mm Drive Pulley (Maybe 6.5 - 7 PSI Boost) . and a Dyno Tune
