Visited my mom today (pictures)
Crazy how much bigger the challenger is
I visited my mom today and took some pictures of her and my car together. The car is a 2013 SXT challenger, so the one with the v6. My mom purchased the car shortly after her battle with melanoma cancer, hence why she got black. The car has always been a car that she had dreamed of owning, since her father had a 1971 challenger. She decided on the v6 because at the time there were a ton of rebates and special offers, so she got the car that stickered at 35k, for 21k. This car means a ton to me because I was around 14 when she purchased it, and I still didn't know a ton about cars at the time, the only kind of cool cars I experienced was my neighbor down the road who was always detailing his black C5 Z06 and after that his black C6 ZR1. So I would beg my mom to let me detail her car, so every weekend when the corvette was out I would pull the car into the driveway and give it a very mediocre wash. This was also the first car that I drove, and the car i took my drivers license test with, so needless to say it will always have a special place in my heart. A corvette might be a dream come true, but the challenger will definitely always be a very close second for me.

Yes I too had a 13 black sxt with red hood and side stripes. Had to sell it due to wife’s health. After she passed I got the vette, a car she always wanted me to have. Still have her 09 Kia suv. Got more remarks about the challenger than I do with the vette. Car was awesome looking, all windows blacked out, bright wheels and red inserts on seats, custom done to match stripes. She found that car for me at the time.

Thanks for sharing!
Nice that your mom chose to get something that would have a special meaning to her (and to you).

Good comparison of just how low the C5 sits compared to many other cars.

Looks like a lot of women drive the challengers, a co-worker of mine drives a black one as well and it does feel like a large car, we got one as a rental once when the wife's E400 was in the shop and I just couldn't enjoy the ride but I bet the Demon/SRTs are more enjoyable
