Default 6 speed manual shift *****?

hello just purchased a M6 C6 Z51 vette. Looking to possibly upgrade my shift ****. What in your opinion are the best looking ones out there. Is there any carbon fiber ones that look good? Etc.....like I said I’m fairly new to these forums so forgive me if this is a dumb question. Thanks

I would swap out the entire shifter for a MGW.

I, like many others on here, have one and love it. You can specify a 9/16-18 threaded shaft, which open up the ability to fit many aftermarket *****.

It's all about individual tastes, but I installed the Hurst shifter and ****. Absolutely love it.

The best shift **** is the one that feels great to you and you don't miss any shifts with. Different people prefer different styles.

Aaaaaaand then some people are just weird...

I’ve had a round MOMO **** for years with the factory shifter. With a lower position on the shifter the throws seem shorter and quicker.

I was never a fan of the **** types.

I found this one on ebay. Inspite of the light up feature it's a pretty slick looking shift ****.

The best looking one IMO is the stock one in the alcantara finish on the 2012+ models. It's the one I have.

I use an 8-ball style myself. It dropped the height of the shifter by about 3/4" and has a great grip.

I have had the round ball ( '8 ball ) style on my last two cars. my the current one is from corvette mods.
white w/red & C6 corvette script. I've always like the ball style since, no matter how you grab it, it feels good.
plus with it being white, even in the hot California summers, I have yet to have my hand 'branded'.
I do though still like the original C6 **** too. it's far better then the mushroom one I had on my '98 Z28.

That looks to much like a factory **** which is entirely to high.

I also recommend swapping out the shifter for the MGW. It's easily one of the best quick upgrades that improves shifting immensely.

I have an MGW shifter & stock ****. Tried a cue ball style **** & it just didn’t feel right, was heavier & I had a hell of a time with the 5-4 downshift. Then the shift **** became detached from the stick so I put the stock **** back on & it’s much better.

This is made by MGW and was purchased with the shifter..I like it because it's textured rubber and your hand wont slip while shifting, it also looks good...WW

Here is a photo of my "before" and "after" photo of my Coupe. The before is the factory and the after with the retro cube ball look from MGW Shifter which is awesome.
