Rock > Scissors > Windshield... Rock Wins!
Arrggg... 70 mph and big rock... rock wins.
I've got the Crystal Fusion protection plan for windshield (protects against small rocks... replacement warranty...)... so looks like it's "Claim" time. Hopefully won't have to fight too hard to get an OEM replacement. I've got HUD, Onstar, and so really don't want to mess with any 3rd-party product.

good luck on your claim. I've got a rock chip crack almost Identical to yours.
got it after about 2 - 3 months of ownership. been almost 2 years, and luckily it hasn't gotten any worse.
although, after 138k miles, the whole windshield looks like it's been sand blasted.
hopefully, your situation works out.

I got one very similar to yours almost dead center at the bottom of the windshield within days of driving my new Vette off the lot. Had Safelite come out and 'seal' it; that was over 10 years ago and, although you can still see it from the outside if you look for it, it hasn't gotten any worse in all that time.

I had safelite replace mine, then the following year they did a seal of a rock chip, common occurrence in the desert......good luck on getting OEM one.

About a year ago had an oem windshield installed in my Vette. Wasn't hard to find. Expect to dig deeper in your wallet.
Have also used Safelite twice. In both instances was very satisfied. The glass quality was perfect and installation was error free.

BTDT. My "new" windshield lasted all of ~9 months before it was hit in almost the exact same spot as yours. Looks like I will be calling Safelite again in the spring.

I had my windshield replaced by Safelite today. Very professional and was done in about 1 1/2 hours. I forgot to tell them when I filed the claim that I had the HUD but they decoded that from my VIN and had the correct windshield. Not sure if the same applies for the non HUD replacement windshield, but the HUD windshield is OEM minus the GM logo etched into the windshield. It is the same manufacturer that makes the OEM one according to the Safelite guy. They sure look the same down to the typeface on the glass.
