vortech v3 intake pipe

vortech v3 intake pipe
I want to change the current A&A intake pipe to a more straight flowing design.
Not sure if its going to fit good but I was thinking of using a 3.5" - 4" 45 degree coupler with a short section of 4" aluminum piping for the new intake.
Have any of you guys with a vortech v3si/t trim tried something similar?

A&A intake will make way more than a v3 can ever support. You can go ahead and try it, but not worth the effort. Need to drop the radiator way down or run a poor cooling cut down radiator. Either are poor options.
Best bet IMO would be to fab something up like Realcanuk did if you really want to mess with something, but I would just leave it as is.

I dropped the cradle a bit with the supplied hardware that A&A gives with the kit and also have the shortened version of the dewitts radiator. I was thinking with a less restrictive intake (that bend on the intake is hideous) I might gain an extra psi or so

Do you have the latest version A&A intake?
