Conti Extreme Contact vs ASP 3+ ZP
I have about 8500 miles on my Original Non Z07 tires so it is time to start looking for replacements. I looked at many positive reviews on the Conti and few new reviews on the ASP. Is there any big advantage of either other than the ASP being a run flat? (that can be a big advantage), I am in the Houston area so cold weather driving is not normally an issue and I don’t track the car. My main consideration is increased tread life. Any input would be appreciated.

Continental.
I switched to conti extremecontact sport 2 times, from PSS's and everything improved. Everything.
I don't track the car so i'm sure the PSS will be better at that. But in street driving, or the driving i do with my cars, the conti was an upgrade in every single category.

Burning Brakes
The biggest plus for the Michelins is they are an all season tire which allows those of us with a true 4 season year to drive on the same tires year round. All tires are a compromise of sorts dependent upon our planned use. For those of us that don't track the car an all season tire is probably the best choice. The fewer times we change our tires improves our chances of not having wheel damage during the changing process.

I assume you don’t track the car? If so don’t buy any conti tires, great on the street just the opposite on the track.

I swapped my Cup'2s with conti's and the difference was huge on comfort, it was like a brand new car. I do some spirited driving and they're obviously not as good as Cup2's but I have the DSC controller and they come very close to handeling like the cup2's on track setting, but I can only imagine wha the cup2s can do with the DSC track setting

Drifting
Just put the AS3+ZP on my ride today and a couple observations. Little quieter than the MPSS. Haven't punched it from a dead stop but from a 25mph roll they held well with 800 rwtq. It was 75 degrees outside and on a concrete surface when that was done. I got them so I could drive in the winter months and not worry about he compoud in the MPSS. Can't comment on hard cornering yet but for around town and highway use I highly recommend. I do have the DSC module in place for anyone wanting to know how they do with that.
