Default Porter Throttle Body

Im sure there is a thread here somewhere, but wanted so share my experience. I have a M7 & struggled with 1st gear. Now I have been driving stick for 20 years in a car an long than that on motorcycles. However with this car the flat or weird spot in the low rpm’s always gave me trouble. I read some threads here saying that the Tony Mamo ported TB is best. All i have to say is i wish I did it sooner. It made the drivability of my car a ton better. If you dont have one I recommend you try it.

I have the katech PTB.

Best mod i ever did. Well aside from the xpipe.

But yes a ported TB should be the first mod with anyone with a manual Z.

You can get a ported throttle body. I ran the Mamo with great success. My M7 had the same off idle dead spot from the factory. I think the ZR1 95 MM TB will fix it as well. Then if you mod later the 95 TB really shines.

PTB did make some improvements but adding the BMS filter is what eliminated the partial throttle lag.
