Default Who Uses A Creeper?

Now that I have my Quick Jack, I'm looking for a good low profile creeper for working under the beast. I found the following on Amazon....looks pretty decent. Any thoughts on this one or recommendations on something different?

I use this one at work and love it. It's small and easy to store. I did replace the wheels with some better ones though.

The one you have shown you can also get one similar at Harbor Freight for half the price that one is listed at. If you have a coupon and it's on sale you can usually get one for around $20 or so. I actually used the wheels off the HF one on my little powerbuilt one when they wore out and it rolls around much easier and better. It was cheaper to buy the whole creeper then the 4 individual casters for it.

Check out Snap on.

Way more expensive but almost always worth it.

I had the second one pictured and it was a POC. I’m 215lbs and it cracked at wheels in several places. Creepers are OK IF you have a clear work space and sufficient height but sometime it’s just as easy to crawl under. I’m no replacing mine. If you buy one, spend money on a good one. Cheap is cheap.

I had a few creepers over the years, but sold them all. They do make it easy to slide around under a car, but they are also a PITA because they move around when loosening or tightening bolts which kills leverage and you usually have to get the car 2-3 inches higher just to have the same amount of clearance. I usually just throw down one of my pit mats or some moving blankets when working under vehicles, but I've also had back problems in the past, so I understand the benefits of using a creeper vs rolling around on the ground. They work much better if you replace the casters with locking ones and the creepers with large wheels like the "bone" make moving around much easier. I believe Traxion makes a creeper with large wheels and a locking mechanism which is what I'll try if I ever want one again.

I agree with the others that if you're going to be using it a lot, then end up with one that has good casters.
I also like creepers that have adjustable tilting headrests.
On the other hand, I've also done a lot of work off of large, flattened pieces of cardboard. <g>

I don't use creepers but the dog bone would be the one I would get if I were to use them . I prefer to crawl around on a movers blanket its just easier for me being on the ground

I have a Snap on creeper and a harbor freight one. IMO the harbor freight is a screaming deal. There are a few things that they have that are cheap and awesome, and this is one of them.

I use my snap on creeper every day and love it. They are worth the money if you plan to use it with any sort of regularity.

Life is too short to struggle around with junk if you can afford better.
