Pulled The Supercharger Cover Redux Pics
pulled the supercharger cover to clean out oil.i do this every 2500 miles due to poor GM design.will not install a catch can because it voids warranty.easy job.only takes 20 minutes.helps to stop buildup on valves and seats.made a special tool to get the back bolts.before and after pics.

You might as well not bother if your not putting on the MMS solution's catch can that routes the under the blower PVC to the Catch can. STOPS THE OIL FROM getting in the blower. This what you see when you flip the blower over. The intercoolers are getting clogged and it is baked it there. Restricting them pretty quick this was 28,000 miles.
I would say 15 -20 percent clogged reduced cooling.

Do as you wish! I value the health of the car. The MMS is proven to myself to be needed. Not going to forgo doing because of 'I might" have a future warranty claim.
Plus no way in gods green earth would that catch can stop a rear end replacement on warranty.
My 2017 w/ 6k has the MM catch can but is getting the 2300 blower right now as well.

OP FYI that Halltech CAI is enough to void your powertrain warranty if they choose to. " Most " dealers won't I would like to think, but if your car is in for service GM tech can ask and the tech has to answer their questions truthfully. I actually saw it done on a C6 GS at the local dealer here in Greer,SC.

You're not at least a bit worried all the stress you're putting on the bolts and threads from constantly removing/installing?
That's the only thing that would stop me from doing what you're doing. And what about the rubber seal?

no.bolts are hardened, and gasket is rubber.as long as you follow the correct torque pattern and inch pounds it will be fine.

That makes totally no sense to me. Save that warranty you will not likely need till AFTER it is expired then your intercoolers will be badly plugged and the valves need serviced. Should have used the Mighty Mouse Solution.

Someone please post up the part of the Powertrain Warranty that states what can/will void (or cause a claim for warranty repair to be denied). I just find it hard to understand that, of the myriad of things that can be done to the powertrain, ONLY a catch can and a tune will void (or cause a warranty repair claim to be denied).

Fact is flip your blower over and the intercoolers will look like mine some sort of plugged up no theory just facts they all collect oil under the lid. Yours included! Save your warranty maybe buy and save a new blower
for later when your out of warranty and it starts acting up!
Just education for you do as you please!

The oil fumes from the crank case carry the oil in the PCV. Constantly while it runs. You cleaning it does not much good when it returns time you drive it anywhere. Even if you clean it before every start up and it still would get oil in the intercoolers. You clean it at 2500 miles. That's 2500 miles of oiling. You clean the lid then it oils again for another 2500 miles.
