Default Seat Repaired

Re-foamed, cleaned and repaired a friend's C5 Sport Seat. I tried to find a good replacement for the outer upper as it had a tear but couldn't find one.. I bought a no-heat leather/vinyl repair kit online and some SEM Color Coat - Plastic & Vinyl Flexible Coating in Flame Red. After a thorough cleaning and several layers of leather repair, I sprayed the color coat on the one panel with the repaired tear. This SEM product is a perfect match! I am not sure how durable the repair is but I was able to tug and pull in different directions without any giving. Its not perfect but 100% better than what I started with.

Very dirty and a 3" tear

After cleaning, leather repair and SEM Color Coat

Finished Product

Looks like a good job - so much better than a torn piece.

Well done DiY. Like you said, you'll see how it wears as it'll get a lot of use. Try to enter and exit putting as little pressure on it as possible.

Wow..good color match, blend's right in, and it doesn't catch your eye.
