Summer Tire in Non Run Flats?
Hi. I have a C6 ZO6 with C7 Grand Sport wheels 19&20 inch. I live in Florida and would like to switch from the Michelin run flats to a summer non run flat see up. Any suggestions? Thanks

I was a believer in non runflats till the newest one being the MPSS. Coming out on the Z06. I direct compared them to the Michelin SS non runflat. Very surprised even though I read they are the same compound which I found funny since the non runflat is made in france not here. Plus after 3 sets of the non run flat at the track as well against 2 sets of the runflats
I have convinced myself esp with the addition of more HP the MPSS runflat is a great tire. That has better stick when warm than the non runflat.
I have no plans for any non run flat.

What do you run up front than? I just got a pair of Hoosier drag radials mounted on C5 ZO6 front wheels for the strip. Well I went a couple of weeks ago and they scared me to death. The rear end was all over the place. I than found out that you can't run the drag radials with run flats on the front. That's what causes the sway in the rear. So I'm trying to figure out the best and most logical way to go from here? Sell my run flats with 7 k miles on them and get non run flats or get a pair of skinnies for upfront for track days. Thanks for your feedback.

I switched to them twice, previous tires being the PSS's and conti's were MUCH better for my style of driving.
I don't track the car but in street driving, everything else was better.

Burning Brakes
I have the Conti Extreme Contact DW (not to be confused with the Spotts). I can't to put the Sports on. I just received the rear Sports but the fronts are still on backorder.

Melting Slicks
Conti ExtremeContactSports non-run flats .... exactly the same size as the original MPSS.
I use them for daily driving, highway driving, and autocross in the rain
(they are 2nd best in the rain compared to Hoosier H20 tires, as per quite a few autocrossers).
Of course, for autocross in the dry/warm, I use BFG Rivals... on 18" wheels all around.

From what I've been reading in the forum for the past two months, I think I got the last two front Conti's in the country in early August. Discount tire found one for me in So Carolina and the other came from Louisiana. Rears are readily available. In a good way, the Conti's have completely changed the way the car drives and feels vs. the Mich's. Quieter, easier steering and no more picking up every little stone and hurling them up into the wheel wells and rear quarters. I only use the car on the street so I have no opinion or experience with the on the track. A couple of posters have mixed rear Conti's with front Mich RF's. Don't do it !!!!; the *** end will go all over the place. Wait until you get all 4 Conti's.
