Default 5” Intake

Has anyone tried a 5” intake on our cars to see how they do? Thinking about building one to see how it compares to the halltech.

I have one on my car. It’s a procharger f1a-94 set up and I picked up 3lbs of boost with the intake. JTM Motorsports makes a 5” intake which is what I am using. My car just went 8.92 at 157mph so their intake definitely works.

I know Kong performance has one for the c6 zr1 5” out of carbon fiber. New Era has a 4” for the CTSV I’ve been on the hunt but nothing yet for the c7 lt4 I’m not even sure a stock supercharger would even benefit from such a big intake

yes one has been made and showed some great gains on a maggie setup. I'm not saying who it is because they aren't ready to release it yet (it's not us btw)

Already made, tested, picked up major power and we're in the carbon fiber molding process now. We had an LT4 blower C7 Z06 making 850whp/850wtq with our heads/cam, ported blower and this intake! This is also the same intake I used to run my 9s C7 ZR1 passes

Anyone who wants a carbon 3D printed one now though, I can have one done in 2 weeks!
And I'll make you guys a deal... I'm willing to send you guys FREE the carbon fiber air intake tube and filter once we get them in to swap out with the return of the carbon printed tubes.

PM sent!

Will a tune be required for the 5" intake? Or just recommended? My C7Z is currently turned with an aFe intake, Kooks 1 7/8" headers and catless x-pipe.

Ben

i am very interested. Will you include the MAF data? What sort of gains that had over a AFE or a Halltech?

Oh the tune will DEFINITELY be required haha, we saw a THREE PSI increase on the hit over his 4.5" custom sheet metal intake!

Yes, I can provide MAF data if needed. Gains are dependent on mods; however, on my ZR1 when I put the intake on, the AFRs went from mid 12s to mid 15s at WOT!!!! INSANE amount of airflow difference. I'll try to grab a couple of screen shots shortly of the Z06 mentioned above. It is the highest HP one I have ever seen on a legit dyno.
