ZR1 owners.. quick question..
Would 18,973 miles of normal street driving cause the tunnel carpet to shrink badly especially the passenger side on a 2013 3ZR ZR1 or am I looking at a possible ex track car? It is also missing the stock front spoiler and they are asking $64,900 .. I prefer a pampered Cars and Coffee Waxer as this may be my last Corvette at least for a while and I just want a good cherry stock one! ..Thanks for any input ,... Rob

The carpet would bother me but the spoiler is not a deal breaker I'm on my third front lip. You can try not to hit it but if you drive it you will hit it sooner or later. I just pick up a few on ebay for around $300 and swap it when it gets really bad. If you really want the car tell him you'll pay asking if he gets the carpet fixed. Also don't be scared of a car that's been to the track most of us who track our cars maintain our cars at a higher level than garage queens.

Thanks to all that answered my question... Glad to know that the tunnel carpet issue is not only a problem for track duty cars... I hope to get down to look at it in person today... This 2013 ZR1 is a pde car,.. CRM in color with a 3ZR cashmere interior and red calipers , stock black wheels and a ZO6 looking front spoiler ... I will post the car # once I talk with them to see if anyone knows this car. Thanks again... Rob

The 12/13 cars inherently have more heat in the tunnel with the two additional cats that GM installed on the leading end of the mid-pipe. It's certainly plausible that some carpet shrinkage could be attributed to that. Best of luck OP! CRM ZR's have grown on me over the last few years. Really sharp looking car.

I have a similar issue with the carpet on my 2012 ZR1, which was a PDE car. it is barely noticeable, but where the carpet meets the console it has shrunk.

That is WAY to much money! If that car had a front spoiler and 2-3k miles then the price would be okay. If you have 65k to spend then keep looking, you can find a much lower mileage car with no issues for that money.

I still think its by far the best Vette ever. Blows the C7 away.

thats weird, I get shrinkage from the cold..................
But anyway, Ill have to look at my floors, but I only have 4200 miles on my waxer.
My leather dash is for sure shrinking.

gonna be hard for them to "pop up everywhere" when there's only 4500ish of them made in the world... I bet you will be able to buy a C7Z06 for cheaper than a C6ZR1 really soon

Price seems a little high for those miles on a ZR, honestly. There are lots of them out there with mileage in the mid-to-high 4 digits to be had around the $60K mark...and those aren't missing a $2K piece of the car.
And for God's sake, test drive the car between 70 and 90mph for the rotor vibration. No one likes paying an instant $6K for new rotors on a new-to-you car that doesn't even "need" them.
