Default Memory Seats

2014, M7, I followed Cute Gingers U tube, perfect except last screen in video where screen is Auto Memory recall, choices are off or on/driver door open or on at ignition on, I do not see that screen, I would like to set it on/ignition on but now when I enter car, open door, seats & steer wheel moves before I get in , exit works fine, Is her screen different because she has a A6?

2014 did not have the "On at ignition" option, but it was available as an update.

Default Chevy Doc # for memory seat program 2014's

You can refer to the section of work order below. It references Doc ID #3829637 and PI1245.

Work was done under warranty in 2014. I expect dealer will charge and hour's labor now.

I have a 14 m7, and the update did the trick. I talked them into updating it for free because I said it should have been done prior to me buying the car (as it was used)

True, I had the car reflashed after the upgrade came out (at no charge) and it worked perfectly right up to when I sold the car

Thanks guys!!!, makes no sense to have seat/wheel move into driver position with driver still outside the car, thought I was going crazy, watched the video to many times trying to sort it out for a few days

Can't hurt to ask.

If you don't ask - well, you know the answer...

If I'm understanding this correctly its not the programming that is the problem, instead it is when the seat returns after using exit mode. I turned exit mode off because I didn't want the seat constantly moving every time I cycled the ignition.

The only option for 2014 seat memory recall was OFF or ON (DOOR OPEN). So - you could have the seat move back when you open the door to exit, but when you open the door to get back in the seat moved to the saved position. This made it harder to get in. Of course, you could leave memory recall set to OFF and use the memory buttons on the door. The software update added the choice to move to memory recall position at IGNITION ON. So - the seat can stay at exit position until you push the START button.

Make more sense now?
