Vette’s sell for more in California guys. They don’t sell as many of them out here in the first place and there’s a lot of people so that pushes the demand up in the used market. We don’t have any of those crazy high volume 10 to 15% off MSRP dealers out here like you guys in the Midwest and east do.

Kbb doesn’t mean much. I just sold a clean, stock, 20yr old Jeep for 4000 more than KBB. Look at what things cost to replace then decide value from there. If this car has all the features you want then of course it’s going to sell for more.

Look up the car on KBB with a San Diego zip. Buyer is asking $10k above. It’s not rocket science. If you’re on here you should be an informed buyer. Buyers that have unrealistic selling prices never sell their Vette’s. They sit on them until they drive the price down during negotiations, give up and trade it in to the dealers, or they just sit in the garage because they can’t fathom losing on depreciation.

You guys are ridiculous. Trade in is 60-64k on this car. Lmao go be cheap skates somewhere else. Maybe find a stripper 1lz poverty Vette in Kbb means nothing.

I’m just stating facts. If you invested X amount of money into your Jeep and someone valued those as much as you did, then I understand why someone would pay above KBB or if the car is a classic or unique, limited production etc. Unfortunatley that’s not the case here.
It looks like you’re offended and I’m not quite sure why.

Both my vettes in NY would not pass the " smog " test in CA....Is it true that if your car has headers it automatically fails? Also even if car is over 25 years old it still has to pass smog? In NY its just a 10 dollar safety inspection....What's the sense of having a performance car if you can't mod it the way you want..???

Ok, question...Old cars that were not equipped with catalytic converters , what happens with those?

you still can’t make any changes to the factory exhaust if it’s newer than 1976 for trucks or 1975 for cars without that stupid EO. 1974 and 1975 are the last years you can make changes but even then you still technically can’t do much. They are just smog exempt so you can’t get caught. Truly only pre 1968 cars are exempt from any emission or exhaust rules.

I sold my 2016 ZO6, A8, 3LZ with less than 5K miles (original owner - CALIFORNIA CAR) about 2 months ago. I took the advice of a friend who just sold his Z06 to not chase the market; get in front of it and it will sell.
The vehicle was bought by an autobroker (actually from San Diego) who sold it to a client in NorCal. That client had it originally advertised for $73,990 and it just sat there, not selling at all. The last advertised price I saw on the car before it apparently sold was $67,950 so the car sold for a price lower than $67,950. I would guess around $66,500. At that price, I don't think they made a whole lot from it.
Chase the market or get ahead.
