Noob with a C6 in Orygone
This looks like the place to be on line, in line for Corvettes, so let it start here. Already found much useful info here, thank you all for that.
First gear blackies on the Yellow Brick Road to who knows where?!
1st Corvette for me, very impressed. Why did I wait so long to do this? Excuses, excuses.
I come from a high-perf motorcycle background, lots of road racing and track time for 25+ years, some of that is still fun. So that is a baseline comparator for me.
Pluses:
+ New Michelins are car-candy for this thing: sticks to the road, quieter, handles a lot sharper.
+Wheel alignment is like getting a new car! Had to check the plates to make sure it was the same ride I drove in!
+Gets same milage as my old VW GTI VR6 going on trips, and 3X as fast on a pass if needed.
+LS2 is like Hammer of Thor with a gas pedal.
+Its a good touring car for the open spaces in the PNW.
+Badass look in black with tint and chrome wheels. My gal likes it too!
+The front end sticks into corners like nothing I've ever driven on 4 wheels, amazing amount of reserve (if smooth on the wheel.)
+It gets noticed.
Minuses:
-It gets noticed.
-Hitting potholes in PDX is expensive, do not do that!
-Sucks to parallel park with chrome wheels (first-world problem.)
-Can't stay out of the car if the sun is out and I "need" to go somewhere.
-Have to learn how to service a GM product (long time).
-Deer
-Way too easy to overdrive visibility (bike survival habit).
See all you all down the road sometime, or BS-ing here.

Thanks for the warm welcome from all of you.
If only get warm again outside the internet!
Been doing the wave, but not many of my brethren out and about in November!
