Red interior aftermarket outcome - beautiful, now what can I accent on the outside?
My fiance got me a beautiful C7 Z06, white exterior, black interior, but we'd always wanted the red interior - so we got started! Had additional interior component cores wrapped (so I can go back to black if I want) and installed this week and am pretty darn happy with the result - thought others on here might be interested. Now trying to decide whether to go solid red with the seats, or a two-tone red and black (my preference, but fiance tells me that will look "dated"). Also looking for ideas for some red accents for the exterior- I would LOVE the red brake calipers, but I track this car and have been told that the paint fades/looks bad once you heat soak the calipers a few times, so not sure its worth the $. Anyone been tracking the red calipers and know if they're colorfast?
Would love to hear thoughts on what red accents could be added to the exterior!
After, low light:
After!
After, outside sunlight:
After!
Before:
Before- black interior.
Exterior - what red accents can i add to the outside???

That looks great. But I'm biased. That's the same color scheme I have on my Z51
I don't have any pictures handy, but I've seen where people outline the rim of the wheel and the thin edges of the aero parts. That might look nice. You might also want to look into Grand Sport style fender hashes. I love what it did for my car.

Definitely not two tone seats as for the exterior red pin stripe around the wheels.

IMO, you definitely need more red (seats) to balance the look out.
I also agree that cloth colored console lid needs to go, I would go with matching red there as well.
Did you use adrenaline red wrap so that OEM seat covers/console lid etc will match? Hard to tell exact shade of red from photos.
Curious why you didn't just purchase new adrenaline red dash components as opposed to wrapping?
As far as exterior red accents, you could go with red stinger and/or any combination of strips. I like red calipers, especially with black wheels as it give them a little pizzazz.

I also agree that the console lid Red cover should go. If you go with the solid Red or two-tone, the all black center console looks the best. I had the Red seats already (1LT) and added the dash Red as you did, after the fact. You say you did this with a "wrap" and could go back to black if you want; I didn't think you could do that because the added thickness wouldn't work when the doors close and just installing the pieces back in the dash. Mine were done by completely removing the Black material then replacing it with the Red leather. There is no going back for me!
I also have the Red calipers, so I would recommend adding that contrast too.

It looks REALLY good with the black seats. Don't go overboard with red. That interior combination is really good looking as is.

If you don't want to opt for red seats, the red seat belts are a terrific option!

Here's a link to a posting I did a couple of years back on all this:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...lt-pieces.html
I've been told that this company doesn't do this anymore, but I'm sure there are others around the country that might do this. Since I did all the labor of removing and re-installing all the parts, and this company is less than 15 miles from my house, it cost me a grand total of $856.70 for them to remove all the black material and replace it with the red leather. The video they did explains most of the process.

Exterior - what red accents can i add to the outside???

Don't do any more inside in my opinion.
I have the two tone black / red seats but in this case I think Less is More.
Red calipers for sure (my OEM calipers don't get brake dust on them)...maybe a red stripe
Don't mess the wheels up with anything.
The opinions expressed above are strictly my own and ….anyone else's are just as good
