Default Corvette ZR-1 Crate Engine: What You Need to Know

OK, for ***** & giggles let's say I have ~$20K to spend on this crate motor. I have a '17 GS. Do I need additional driveline upgrades to handle the power increase?

That is a good question. If I'm not mistaken, the ZR1 and the Z06 have pretty much the same drivetrain. The GS, however, has a similar gear ratio as the Z51, I believe.
Here's a discussion thread that might answer your question:

It would be cool as all get out to have this engine in an old Chevelle. Especially if you made all the belt driven accessories such as power steering and air conditioning, all function properly …

Imagine, putting this kind of power in an old Chevelle with NO nannies to help you stay in the road. Things are gonna happen real fast. YMMV
