Default first road salt of the season

It's that time of year again, unfortunately. I won't drive my vette in snow, sleet or salt, and we now have all three of those things here. I hope it clears up soon, cuz I do try to drive the vette year round.

I feel your pain. Looking out my C5 Vert, there is is 3 inches of snow on it. But now it is raining and hopefully it will wash the car and the streets so next week I can enjoy the ride that I do 12 months. No storage for this guy.

I sympathize with you guys. We spent 3 years in Northern Virginia and DC. It was always a real pain. Here's hoping for a light winter and early spring!

Yeah, they put brine on the roads here in Iowa about two weeks ago. My babies are sleeping in their new garage for the winter.

This "salt" nonsense is one of the major reason I moved from Illinois to Texas 20 years ago. I remember as a kid watching all these cool muscle cars being "eaten alive" and having to put up the cars for 6 months of the year.

Down here, Corvettes are a 12 month a year vehicle.

Snowed here twice this week so plenty of salt/cinders/ice melt liquid thrown down on the streets. Need a good rain before I get the car out again.

This is early snow for this area. I need to have my car inspected by the end of the year and I got caught off guard. Now I need a good rain before I can get it done.

Yep...first snow and salt here in SE MI was over a week ago. Gonna be a long winter. No such thing as washing the salt off the roads here until April.

In central ND it is definitely over for the winter, although there will be no body rust there will still be corrosion everywhere under the car with all the salt on the roads. I will spend the winter doing a paint correction and an exhaust bypass to be ready for spring.

They actually salt the roads there? When I was stationed at Grand Forks, I don't ever remember them putting down salt, only sand. I was always told it was too cold there for salt to work, that's why they only used sand...

We got 11" of snow in central PA on Thursday! Hell, there's still green leaves on some trees. My car is PARKED for the duration. Global Warming, I guess.
Speaking of Salt....Here's a pic of a CTF car at a GM parking lot (I have relatives there). These people have NO respect
