Lauren Is 34 Today
She was born on Friday, November 16th, 1984 in (of course) Bowling Green, Kentucky. This date means Lauren is now firmly on the early side of the old Corvette versus new Corvette dividing line.
This year was another eventful one for Lauren. Beginning in early August, I began prepping her for flight judging. She received a reasonably comfortable (95.8% plus 223 miles of driving points) NCRS Regional Top Flight at the Mid-Atlantic Regional in Altoona in late September—even with some deductions I had not seen before. Lauren drove magnificently that entire weekend; when we got home, I converted her back from show mode to driving mode.
If remotely possible, I drive Lauren at least a little bit on her birthday—it wasn't possible this year, as our streets are still recovering from Winter Storm Avery. I did take a few pictures inside the newer garage: one is below. However, my favorite picture of Lauren over the last year was taken at 7:34 AM at a service plaza on the Pennsylvania Turnpike on my way out to Altoona. It's called Those That Drive Them and it's also below.
Lauren now has 78,588 miles.

I enjoy following the birthdays of your C4! Didn’t you take an early morning photo of your car outside of a restaurant on one of her anniversaries? I could swear it was your car; it was a great photo. Altoona, Somerset, and the Juniata valley are only a few of the beautiful places Pennsylvania has to offer. Congratulations on doing so well in the NCRS regional event.
Happy birthday Lauren!

Here is one you probably remember!
Taken on your road trip through Missouri back in 2008.

Yes, that is the very image I was referencing! Really like the photo. It is scary how time passes so quickly, the photo is from 2012, but I remember seeing it for the first time as if it was yesterday Looking forward to learning more about the book you mentioned.
