Default Changing up the look of my car, TPE wide fenders, F14 Super Deep Concave Underway

Installing a set of used Tpe wide fenders and super deep concave 19x12 f14s with 345 30 19 nt05r tires in the rear on my car. Figured I would make a write up and document the process while doing it and post any questions I have. So far have pulled and installed the passenger side fender.

Tools needed are, t15, 11mm, 10mm, 8mm and 7mm sockets. Along with a ratchet a 3" extension and a flat head screwdriver.

1.Remove t15 screws to the tail light and pull tail light out then disconnect light to side marker housing.
2.Through tail light remove two 8mm bolts at top of rail sandwiching fender to bumper.
3.Remove two 10mm nuts on the backside of riveted studs to the same rail.
4.At the bottom of the rail are two 10mm bolts holding bottom of bumper to fender pull that also.
5. Then I slipped the silver rail attached to the bumper with riveted studs out of the tail light hole.
6. Remove fender liner to fender near side skirt bolt using 7mm.
7. Remove all t15 bolts in door jamb.
8. Remove remaining t15 in trunk and pull the fender off.
9. Remove black rail from oem fender and transfer to new fender. I used a screwdriver with tape on edge to pry tabs up to slip rail off.
10. Remove side marker and transfer over.
11. Reinstall bumper rail and reinstall fender.
Should be the same process for drivers side with a little twist on the gas door. Car is going for paint in a week.

Your car is going to look great - love the wide fenders. Will be checking back in for updates.

So, how does the flared fender match up with the inner fender?

I'm looking to run the same setup soon. I'm excited to see the final product.

Got the driver side fender off. I stuffed a paper towel at the bottom of the gas door housing. Then used a long wobble extension with a 7mm to get the deep bolt. Pulled all the other ones attaching fender to gas door housing. Then removed a couple t15 bolts on the hatch and door jamb for a little play to slip the gas door out.

The rest was identical to the passenger side.

Thanks guys getting excited! There is a gap between fenders and fender liners but I ordered some extensions from Rob that will be here soon.

Your C5 will look great with the addition of TPE wide fenders together with F14 Super Deep Concave rims.
Look forward to the pictures of your car when finished.

Always been one of my favorite C5's and will be even better, or as we say around here, more gooder.

Got the gas door and driver side fender on sans the last bolt holding the fender line to fender. My 345s will be delivered tomorrow to discount and the forgestars ship today according to Josh. Drop the car off for paint a week from today and might have the car back by next Friday. Going to have this shop paint my rear fascia and halo instead of using the vinyl. Here's a few more pics.

I think this will look awesome once done, & it really makes the FRC hotrod look of the C5Z pop....question though, if you're bringing to shop to get the fenders painted along w/ other areas of the car, why bother removing & installing the new fenders yourself? you're already going to get charged for it?? Just for a test fit?

Long story short had planned on just bringing the fenders to be paint matched to the paint shop but to ensure no body work was needed I had to test fit. Given it was such a pain to remove the caravaggio spoiler, which is up for sale now along with my old rear wheels and stock fenders cough(shameless plug), I decided to put on a different spoiler. My rear bumper has a little wear on it from the spoiler removal and the fact it's 17 years old so I figured I would repaint and also paint my rear fascia and halo in gloss black instead of sticking with the vinyl that is currently on. Wheels just arrived, hopefully I have them on the car by this weekend.

Did you consider running a 19/20" setup? Thats what I'd like to run if its possible.

I had 19/20 when I bought the car in CCW. Don't believe there are good drag radials that fit our cars in over 19's, if they do think they are very thin side walled which doesn't lend itself for traction.

This setup that I have is 19x9/19x12. It's pretty key having traction with a supercharger if you're not pushing the envelope with power I'm sure you can run a 20 in the back with a less grippy tire.
