Default Lexani or Lionhart Tires any good?

Hey Guys
Hope all is well
I have a set of 19/20 black centennial wheels on my c6 wide body.
I currently have Michelin Pilot Sports 335/25/20 on the rear , tread is running thin, almost time to replace.

Kinda been looking around at different options, they always looked more like slicks to me, tread never lasted long.
Saw a site tiresize comparison and it says 345/25R20 are comparable alternatives in size, width and looks like way more tread on them.
After looking around for that tire size, all i seem to find are Lexani and Lionhart and a few name brands Pirelli, Nitto, Toyo
No Dunlop, Continental or Michelin, Firestone.

Anyone had any real experience with these two Lexani and Lionhart ? Ive watched a few youtube video says they are good, but chinese tires? Is that true? Are they regulated in the US for road standards? will they hold up to such high speeds? Both say California factories.

They have decent prices compared to others

Any info, opinions would be great, thanks
chris

They're crap. If you want cheap wide body tires check out the Cooper rs3. They're about a grand for a set.

Cooper does not make a 335/25/20 or 345/25/20

Then nitto invo are the cheapest semi decent tire. They're not exactly a performance tire, but better than the cheap cheap you're looking at.

Stick with the Pilot SS. Best tire on the planet. It's a Corvette - not a Corolla.

From a performance & safety aspect, tires are probably the most important element on your Vette. So that being the case, why would you cheap out with these junk brands? Stick with the known manufacturers like Michelin, Continental, Nitto, Firestone, Goodyear, etc, etc & their 'V' or higher rated offerings.

335 =/= 345. Dunno what chart you looked at, but.....

Go for an All Season if you want deeper tread and long life. I got 50 and 60k out of Michellin AS runflats on my base Z51.

Thanks everyone for the replies, 919cw313 your right, does seem that way. BackInBlack05, as i stated in the post, the site was tiresize.com, they offer a comparison charge to what is near equal to your current brand. Don-Vette, so far i have seen one guy on here saying he put a set on his c7 and they were doing ok, but everyone else says crap, haha.
So i decided to pass on buying a set, and went for another set of michelin pilot sports.

Well as you have already found out there are very limited tire sizes in the 19/20 combo. Even though they are expensive the Michelins are great tires and you can't go wrong with them so "smart" decision.

I just don't understand why guys want to cheap out on tires. Face it you need to have good rubber on a Vette.
If you can't afford the best tires ,you can't afford a Vette.
You want a shitty tire at high speed? Foolish in my opinion.

They're rebadged Nexxen from what I recall. I've been 155mph on 22s on a 5th gen Camaro. Did a drifting event and auto cross event on them and they were fine for that. Wasn't my car so I didn't really care, I was just told to rag on them and they held up fine for the week I had it.

I have these in my c6 vert. Not wide body, but so far they are doing great. Drove from PA to deals gap and back, no issues. I dont usually put top of the line tires on my vehicles, but that's just me

Well Bowtie Jim us guys are not trying to cheap out on tires, we are just sick and tired of spending $2200 to have tires that wear out in months. I can afford tires, i have two corvettes. But people like you is why the vette market is becoming totally ridiculous, maybe you work at chevy, i dont know.

I bought my first vette at 22 and i sold my z28 and saved for two years for my 97 c5 . Now, because of people with your attitude, i can not touch a new one, without mortgaging a freaking house. Just went to a dealer the other day to get a part, $100 GRAND plus for one, thats NUTS. I have a c5 and and a c6 and they still do not cost what a c7 is these days.

This car was not made to be a near ferrari priced car, it was the blue collar mans sports car. Yes, technology has caught up to make it as fast as one, but. Now a white collar man will need to be 65 to afford one. I have seen the same crap for 10 years, its a vette, your cost just doubled. So now, i ask questions, i take it to others, i do not pay $14.95 for a piece of door plastic, i do not just have your mentality, i do not just say suck it up and pay or call people cheap.

Yes, i want safety of course, but i am tired of getting ripped a new one because attitudes with people has created a market for a car, that should not be, so say what you wish, i shop around, i check options.

Shaolin Crane, thank you for your reply, i was looking to simply ask here, to get opinions like yours, that know about them, used them.
Thanks hmmmm16417, i was wondering about falken brand, glad you mentioned them, Maybe i will look in to them as my next set, thanks all, really appreciate it.

Most (not all) odd name tires are sometimes made by someone else. The end of the DOT number will give you the manufacturing date and the first two letters/numbers will tell you who made them.

Wrong anwer pal

We are talking tires here. Not complaining about the price of the car itself. I buy the best tire I can because that's the only thing between you and the road . I don't compromise to save a few bucks . That's foolish.
You can spend whatever you want. I could care less.
