Wheel/Tire Sizes
Need advice: I'm picking up a 2011 ZR1, and plan to DD it. Question: Can I put smaller wheels/tires all around for more even driving around town/highways? Is that feasible, or just go with the stock setup? Thanks!!

Not sure why you want to do this, don't know what you mean by "even driving" . Just about everyone wants the full size wheel/tires or larger. I'd stick with stock. Not even sure there is a smaller option.

The only reason I run 18" wheels all the way around is that the tires are less expensive. I track mine.
CCW's: 11" front and 13" rear.
If I didn't, I would stick with the 19" and 20" OEM.

I have a 20/21 setup and I wouldn't really hesitate to drive it on a more regular basis, there is just no need for me to do so. I don't think you need to worry about the OEM 19/20s but there are some guys that run a 19/19. You can do an 18" front but it has to be a custom made wheel to clear the brakes. So something forged most likely.

18/18, 18/19, 19/19, 19/20, 20/20, 20/21 all sizes that can be ran with the proper wheels. You can go even smaller if you want to grind the calipers or swap for z06 brakes. I have 19/19 on my car and enjoy having a little extra sidewall on the rear, helps with the ride and traction.

Thanks again for your recommendations ~ I'm on the highway and local roads the majority of the time, and just looking for the smoothest, quietest ride possible. I've been told that on local roads, the big tires hop around and are sensitive to ruts and ridges. I'll track 2x year, perhaps, but this will be a DD just like my '08 coupe has been the last 177k miles.

Hats off to you for daily driving up here in NH. My 09 ZR1 is already hibernating. The one thing I would like information on with regard to street drivability would he how to cut down on the twitchiness. Maybe different alignment specs?

Hi - yes, that's my dilemma as well. I was in hopes that 4-19's might help, and someone could advise. I agree that experimenting with alignment could be the solution.

We love the 19/20 setup but we also get alot of guys running 19/19 for other tire options. As a daily Id stick with a 19/20

What do you guys think of running 275/30/19 and 325/25/20 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's (not run flat) instead of the stock 285/25 and 335/25 setup?
