Default New here-looking forward to ownership

Hi ..I am new here and this is my first post..I recently sold my 2015 mustang GT and was looking to wait for the 2020 model but I got the speed bug and performance fever again after seeing my neighbors 2015 Z51 LT2 7 speed in action..when he offered me a ride I was hooked. I ordered a slightly used 2017 Z51 LT1..7 speed in blade gray from Carmax and it should be here Wednesday or Thursday. with only 2422 miles I thought about new but it seems all of those are 56k to 62k with around 60k being the config that is for me.Besides Carmax has a great extended warranty program and worry free guarantees so I feel comfortable taking over this “demo” and putting some miles on her! An early Xmas present for myself.

I‘ve already ordered a covercraft cover and weather tech mats. Not really planning any mods but she will the track for a base line and then maybe an air intake and tune at the very least.

Besides my neighbor who is on his 4th vette and the many you tube videos I have watched.. I love this forum and look forward to some great advice and tech forums.

I am looking to post more pictures after I take the test drive and looking forward to meeting some “fast” friends here as well.

I am a new C7 owner my self. I seen them all the time and thought "its a corvette" Well Chevy really outdid them self its really a spectacular car, FAST, All kids of need stuff in side. Not the most comfortable car to get in and out of but I love mine, Good luck with yours and may it serve you well.

The scrubbing noise you hear from the front tires on a hard right or left when turning is very slowly in a driveway or parking lot is normal,

Having moved up from an '11 Mustang GT, I recall the expiration of buying my C7. Bravo, and WELCOME!

Congratulations, and welcome to the forum. It's a beauty. Just a little food for thought. Before you tune the engine make sure that it will not void the Carmax warranty. As it will void the GM powertrain warranty.

Welcome to the forum!

I also own a 2017 Stingray 2LT (not a Z51) with a 7-speed manual.........but in Torch Red (the best color, in my opinion) and it is my first Corvette. I also come from the Mustang camp; having had four of them during my lifetime. The Corvette is a different animal, though, and you will definitely enjoy driving it.

I have just shy of 8,000 miles on it after almost two years of ownership. No problems at all.

Default Getting Closer to C-Day

Thanks to all above for the warm welcome..quick update..she was placed on a trailer today and should be in Wednesday or Thursday..I can’t wait, luckily Carmax offers an email tracking system so I know when the transfer was requested, when the car is in transit and when it arrives.

Getting a parts list together..Besides all weather floor liners and a car cover are there any other must have parts I will need?

Any input appreciated..
