Where to get Borla X-Pipe in California
Have recently found that no one will ship a rear cat less x pipe to Ca. Any where I can get or pick one up? Ca. members chime in. Thanks

Here's the only mod that's legal in The People's Republik of Kalifornia

If I were you, I'd find a used one from a forum member. Or head to West Coast Corvettes (I see you're in anaheim) and pick up one of their SR1 pipes.

The SR1 is basically a replica of Corsa"s x-pipe.

I had mine shipped to me a couple years ago. Also had a AFM Range module shipped to me. Some places won't do it but the people saying nobody will ship it are wrong. Shop around and you'll find someone who will do it.

Good grief, no reason a good shop cannot fab one... if they will. .

It is not legal to remove or relocate the catalytic converters in California. If you can find an x pipe that retains the rear converters in their original location it should be legal. I would think that someone makes an X pipe that retains the rear catalytic converters. If not, you will have to have it shipped elsewhere as previously mentioned.

It's a little different. Many say it has more of an "exotic" car sound. It's just a preference, but I've never really heard of any complaints.

I am in the same boat. Can’t find anyone to ship to CA. I did talk to someone at West Coast Corvette a few weeks back and he was saying the difference in sound between the Corsa and Borla is the Corsa sounds more like a European car and the Borla sounds more like an american muscle car.
Also so does anyone know if I do get an X-pipe when it comes time to smog, will it pass or do you have to go back to the stock pipe. Visually it would pass I assume as the pipe and cats are tucked up under and along with the shield it’s not noticeable unless on a lift. Can anyone verify this?

CCA has Borla exhaust and x-pipes. They shipped to me in CA. Is this not what you are looking for?

Borla is in Oxnard. Wonder if they'll sell one to you in person...you know, for your "dedicated track car".
