How are the Sport Cup 2 tires??
I'm not going to be tracking my ZR1 and won't be using it as a daily driver. I'm just wondering if these tires are going to be okay for street driving?? Unless I notice that they grip better I will probably run them for a season and get the Michelin Super Sports. What's everyone's thoughts on this??

The MPSS is a far better DD tyre, but again be careful at low temps.
The recently released Michelin A/S 3 is getting very good reviews as a true multi-season tyre. Check out the thread in the Z06 section.
You can always find a buyer for your SC2 ZP tyres should you decide to take them off. Just advertise in the For Sale section.

Be very careful in wet conditions and avoid standing water. Be careful when the ambient temp is <50dF until you get some heat in them, and don’t drive in <40dF weather with them as they turn into hockey pucks. Michelin recommendations not only not driving them <40dF, but also not having any weight on the tyres at really low temps as they can crack.

they should be great for your described usage . You paid for em so you might as well wear em out. Non ZTK coming 1/14.

Racing experts on here (really) have stated numerous times you will never get the CUPS to completely heat up on the street. Without being on a track doing some warm ups at high speeds they just won't heat up completely. I believe I've seen 180* as the proper temp to get all the grip they "CAN" provide. JMHO PS: As one other poster said, if you don't expect to track, then remove them asap & put MPSS on. You will quickly get a "BUYER" who is constantly wearing out their CUPS. Take that moola & get what you want for the street.

Is cups 2 that bad on the street?? Besides wet conditions, i thought they would grip better and also wear faster on the street!!
my 19 Z06/Z07 come with them, i thought they would be ok since car isnt going out its garage if chance of rains!! but they would grip crazy in the summer time when bitume is hot!!! Both Michelin's doesnt hook in cold weather!!

I have the Cup 2 on my ZR1 M7. They drive ok, but like many have said they don't heat up enough to hook up. For me on the street, I can't go WOT in 1st and 2nd gear.
Do MPSS hook up with WOT in 1st and 2nd get on your ZR1?

1303 has PDI done. Thinking of taking delivery Monday. It will be 50* Monday. Safe to drive it at 55 for 20 mile to my garage? Concerned about hearing the thread replies.

MPSS’s work fine for me. I really dont care about WOT hookup in 1st and 2nd because I don’t do it... I get my jollies on little travelled twisty back country roads taking 25-30 mph corners at 45-50...mostly 3rd and 4th gear ..all under 5000 rpm...nothing stupid .. staying in my lane.. really love 4th gear....liking to feel the power in 1:1 .. car pulls like a freight train. I didnt think it possible for a car to pull more in 4th gear and stay hooked up than my C6 SC606 Callaway at those speeds until I got the ZR1... and the exhaust note in “track mode” is so sweet. Worth the price of admission by itself in my book.

Ummmmmm Big Azz wing, better suspension, and why not
You should be fine. I’ve ran mine in 30 degree temps, avoiding rain. Most of us know NOT to go crazy in the colder temps.
