Default Z07 serial number question

I found what I thought was a 2011 Carbon edition. It has all the externals along with color (SSB) wheels brakes splitter and 3LZ int. I looked in the carbon sticky and it's outside the serial number range. Started thinking someone put together a clone forgetting about the Z07's. Looked in the Z07 sticky but did not see the serial number range of them

B5102520 Last digits of the VIN

Run away maybe, Branded Title/Rebuilt (meaning Salvage title), warranty block, replaced camshaft/lifters, water pump, cats. Looks like it does have the Z07 package though. (next post)

Besides being in an accident, looks like a 2011 Z06 Z07, not a 2011 Carbon clone. It has an exterior color offered on a Carbon, is a Z07 but not the interior of a Carbon and the RPO list doesn't show Carbon edition. Possibly the wheels were changed to chrome and calipers to blue as the 2011 order guide shows Z07 comes with grey wheels and calipers.

Z07 NEW! Z06 Ultimate Performance Package, includes (J57)
ceramic brakes with Dark Gray calipers, (Q6J) Competition Gray
aluminum 19" front and 20" rear wheels, Michelin PS2 tires,
(F55) Magnetic Selective Ride Control and enhanced cooling
1 - Not available with any other wheels.

.
On the RPO list it shows: CFZ - Z06 CARBON FIBER PACKAGE ....is that the package the OP is wondering about?

No, the CFZ package was an option (splitter, skirts, and hood IIRC), but different from a 2011 "Carbon Edition" vehicle.

Ok, so in 2011 there was 252 Carbons and they were only available in orange and super sonic blue. The Z07's were available (I think) in all colors but only a hand full were SSB. Perhaps I'm not negotiating the Corvette Action Center correctly. I'm not seeing how many of each color Z07's were produced in 2011.
I know that car is damaged but DAMN, I can't keep my eyes off of it. To damn pretty.

Technically, 251 CE's were SSB and IO.. One car was painted black, s/n 252, and delivered directly to Hendrick.

Its getting painted now. You can buy the replacement frame sections through GM. As long as it is for the right price and/or it has been repaired correctly, Id say go for it. Its a cheap way to get a bad@$$ car.

Anything can be repaired....all depends who did it and how good a job they did. This car in question already has a branded/salvage title, camshaft/lifters replaced etc. How much metal do you think went thru that motor at the time?

They took a deposit on it last Saturday just before I contacted them. I was told that the buyer had until the end of the day on Monday to seal the deal. If not, I was next in line and they would contact me. It was listed on their site as "sale pending" up to at least this morning before I went to work. I just looked now and it says "SOLD". I think that's going to me a really nice fix-er-upper for whoever bought it.
