I installed a cue ball 2 1/4" dimeter (actual cue ball size) **** on my 2014 and installed one on my Grand Sport. For several reasons installed an MGW flat stick shifter on the Grand Sport. Not that I wanted, but can not use the OEM **** on their flat stick version as it has threads. Must use their original version (see their website.)
The MGW flat stick comes with a ball BUT it is only 2 1/8" diameter. Doesn't sound like much difference but the 2 1/4 fit my hand perfectly and I found the 1st to 2nd and particularly the 5th to 7th and 4th to 7th shift I often use, it makes it easier than with the OEM ****.
After talking with MGW they suggested buying their shifter without the **** and getting one from where they get theirs, EPCO Shift *****.
They appear to make ***** for many companies including different shapes, colors, mixed colors and different sizes. They must have 100 types and all made in the USA! They also make blowing *****! I got the 2 1/4 " diameter shown. They make the same in 2 1/2 inches.
Great shifter with ~25% shorter throw and the very high quality design makes it feel like no more force is required.

If you opt to go without the stock ****, I recommend the EPCO weighted ***** with the MGW Flat stick. I was amazed at the difference between the **** that comes with the flat stick and a weighted ****. With a weighted ****, the shifter feels like it wants to just fall into gear perfectly! It completes the perfect shifter in my opinion.
