Side mount exhaust on 1980 Corvette
Good evening,
I have a stock 1980 Corvette with a manifold and a twin tail pipes running to the back. The car has 76,000 miles on it and I was curious how hard it would be for me to run side mount exhaust with a stock manifold. I saw that there was someone that was able to do it, and I was just wanting to figure it out myself. This is my very first Corvette at 21 years old and I’m just trying to figure it out but it’s a little bit more challenging than I thought when it comes to the side mounts. Thank you!

You mean run down pipes out the side, then back under the doors, and keep the stock Rams Horn manifolds? I guess you could...

I had them on a 1980-bolted right up just needed a notch in the inner panel, after about a 1/2 hour the novelty wore off and ended up changing to true duals with a cross over pipe.
