Hi guys,
as some of you know I live across the pond in the Netherlands and prices from cars can be different. I was looking at ebay and found this Tbird, seems like a great deal.
wanted to hear some opinions of you guys since you are more into the American car market than I am, seems rather cheap for this car?

I went to ebay's website and did a search for the car and it came up so it may be legit. Frankly, I don't believe you could buy the paint job on that car for the current price.
If you are interested in bidding on the car, I would contact Crownhill Automotive in Seattle, Washington and ask about the car.
Good luck... GUSTO

Looks like a deal to me

Just another Corvette guy
There are many '61 to '63 T-birds available here in various condition. Their prices seem to be all over the board. That is a reasonable looking car with some normal wear and tear. $13K is about what it's worth anywhere here in America.

Look at this link. It may give you some perspective and, also, someone to call to see what they think. Lots of inventory out there.

63 is not a highly desirable year for T-Birds. 13K is a fair to high price for most T-Birds that haven't had a full restoration (except for the 55-57 birds).
That car looks to be in very good shape from the pictures. Paint is 'presentable' - I don't know what that means.

Cars-on-line prices look a bit high to me.
My experience is the highest prices for classics are on Craigslist (the occasional bargain goes through there, but they are rare). I think their ads with unreasonable prices are the result of conversations like this:
Wife - when are you going to sell that old car taking up space?
Husband - if I put it up for sale, will you stop complaining about it?

If you want someone to go look at it, let me know. I would need to know what to look for specifically for those types of cars, and could take photos, etc. Arlington is not far from where I work.
The note about Copart is interesting. I bought a car through them several years ago. They auction off cars that insurance companies have totaled. You would go to their website, type in what type of car you were looking for, add in your zip code and a certain mile radius, and they would show the cars they had and listed when they would go up for sale. The auction was all automated, and you could bid from your computer. For fun I did a search for Corvette Z06's, oh my..... there were a number of wrecked cars, front ends knocked off, some nasty looking stuff....

Nothing sketchy about the site. I have talked to both owners and dealers. However, they have a tendency not to remove cars that have been sold some time ago. That would be my only criticism. The post '57 T-Bird market is a little thin. They made a ton of them and demand isn't that great. Undoubtedly, some good bargains out there.

I heard that on the 64-66, watch out for the shift mechanism on the steering column. If they are sloppy they can be expensive to fix.
They had a lot of electronics for the day. Have you seen the sequential taillight mechanism - It is a rotating shaft with 3 cams hitting switches.

Personally I think the 1965--66 T-Birds are much better looking cars.

Rust would be the deciding factor, if and where.
THose dont bring a ton of money generally speaking and that one doesnt have all the goodies some of them had.
Still, for 4k if it runs and drives decent Id grb it in a hot second.
