Default Different voltage at alternator and battery

Hi, I got a 2004 coupe. Doing all the ground cleaning and checking the wiring. I noticed when I check the Bat + at the alternator the voltage reads 14.4 volts. When I put the volt meter on the battery I get 14.1 volts. Is that normal? Or do I have a bad connection in the wiring from alternator to the battery? Possible ignition switch bad? No codes.

I would not be concerned over such a low voltage drop---

Was this voltage drop testing done with the engine running ??...that would be a more accurate test....and remember...."no current flow...no voltage drop" !!
