Default RAM 7.25" triple disc clutch

I was at PRI last weekend and noticed RAM booth had a 7.25" triple disc....stopped in and asked about LS/T56 options and they in fact make one. Interesting....

Then asked how much they were (knowing the price point of McLeod/QuarterMaster etc) and they come in around $670 on Summit...I believe you will still need hydraulic lines etc, but for around $1000 all in seems to be a viable option without spending $2000 on a QM clutch alone.

A friend of mine is building a LS Factory Five Daytona for Autox and RR and this clutch option just got put to the TOP of the list. Anyone run this or have used one?

The guys in the booth mentioned 150 or 200 hp per disc. I think it was 200 per disc. The Daytona should end up about 500-550 RWHP

Had a 5.25" (?) three disc QM. It was a little too difficult to modulate. Took it out and installed a QM 7.25" twin disc. Much easier to modulate but is showing signs of wear. I sent the first 3 disc back to them to rebuild/refresh while it was out. They said it was toast even though it was working just fine with 418hp/353 torque to the rear. I was told that they would say that. I have no desire to run another QM 'rebuildable' clutch. Their advertising of 'rebuildable' means absolutely nothing to me.

The RAM sounds interesting!
