Default Leatherseats11 C5 seat skins installed

I recently purchased my seat leather from Leatherseats11.
They are a vendor on eBay.
I installed them myself and I think they are pretty good quality leather and at 399 for the set it can’t be beat.

the only thing I didn’t like is the back part does not have the plastic guides for the pushpins into the frames but there was a piece of leather stitched in that I used to push the pins through.
I still need to steam out wrinkles
Overall nice quality leather seats
hope this helps anyone who is looking for new leather.

Nice job on the installation. Can't beat them for the price. Did you use new foam?

With new foam, those should be smooth as a baby's......well you know.

I like the subdued effect of the black logo ring, offset by the contrast of the red lettering. Very attractive. What kind of steamer are thinking? My leather is maybe a year old, but more wrinkled than I like.

My OEM passenger seat has not had much use, in spite of being vintage 1997 - and there is not one wrinkle to be seen.

I have some negative comments and some suggestions , but will recuse myself. I will say this, the skins look like they could be a good purchase, however some people need the services of a professional.. for example the seat on the left as you look at the photo, the cross flags on the head rest are way off center and to the left of center and skewed . it looks terrible, ( I did not recuse myself.. ) I just cant go along with the idea that these look great or the install was " a good job". The skins look good. the install ? not so much. IM not sure if there is Velcro strips to match up with the Velcro in the foam but the areas where Velcro should cause separation of the panels on the seat bottom is non existent.
IM sorry if honest critique is a negative. If it were me, I would want to know and not be stroked by either blindness or kindness. being honest is not being mean, its just being honest. BTW there is nothing that can not be corrected here. it just needs to be corrected to get my thumbs up. Yes I know , who needs my thumbs up ?

Pretty nice for the price. Mine were from Interior Innovations with full replacement foam. I wish the wrinkle police would give the self installers a break. This install is usually the first time for most, and yes the problems can be remediated. If one uses completely new foam, one commits themselves to a wrestling match not unlike the WWA. In addition some of the foam must be trimmed. It’s impossible to get the leather over it without ripping the leather. Mine have very few wrinkles, but I’ve seen wrinkles in stock seats as well as some of the high end vendors.
Regarding the push pins and plastic extensions, with the new foam the push pins were useless. I devised a tightening ‘system’ using strong, multiple zip ties and judicious placement of a few additional holes in the fiberglass frame.
I do think some steaming will help the OP’s work, but I agree that the covers need to be refitted and straightened out first. Op, you might want to add additional stuffing to push out some of the wrinkles, and, did you do any reinforcement above the seat spring ‘wires’? I used ballistic nylon, some use other materials but it helps with keeping the foam firm.
I think it’s important to encourage DIY work, with the idea that HELPFUL advice can provide the self installer with the impetus and knowledge to improve the work.
Not everyone has, or wants to spend the money that many professionals would charge.

Thank you for sharing your DIY photos of this product.
You didn't ask for an opinion, so I won't give one.
I applaud you for your motivation to tackle what I consider a very tough job that highly skilled craftsmen make a fortune at.
