Very difficult to see. It is on the top of the frame rail about where your but sits in the seat. Some have had luck seeing it with a mirror and flashlight.

Location covered before sand blast
My 1962 was located driver side outer rail halfway between two body mounts and was a double stamp which is common. The pink circle indicates the location.

They stamped my ‘54 frame twice, under the driver seat. The guy hit it pretty hard too, you can see the indentations...

Most 1953 Corvette have the VIN number stamped in two different locations. There is a stamp in the location that most of us expect to see a C1 VIN stamp on a frame (as indicated earlier in this post). The second VIN stamp is on one of the legs of the X member.
Starting in 1954, the stamp on the X member went away, and the VIN was often stamped twice, side by side, in the "standard" C1 location. This continued for the rest of the C1 production period.

Here is a pic of the double stamp, drivers side frame rail on VIN 3241 1956. The most forward stamp is right at the drivers seat position with the other on located rearward. They are hard to see without the body removed, but it can be done. As you can see, the stamp is located on the outer edge of the frame rail which does make it a little easier.
